Maddy from the beautiful Inspired Bride blog has launched Somewhere Splendid, a new blog that covers “nesting topics from general entertaining and parties to home decor and cooking”. Congrats!

Kat, the Rock ‘n Roll Bride, had a beautiful post this week about makes a wedding really special. (Hint: it’s not what you’re seeing in magazines and blogs.) This is required reading, my friends.

The Wedding Channel has launched a discount/coupon service (sort of like Groupon) this week that caters to brides and grooms. We think their planning tools make them stand out as go-to spot for organizational Nirvana.
	For the Google tools obsessed, Style Me Pretty has teamed up with GoogleDocs to provide some useful tools for keeping you organized and sane. They’re easy to use and include helpful tips and information from top vendors.
	If you’re old school and prefer to put it all on paper, Anne Chertoff (from Aisle Dash) has collaborated with one of my favorite spots for office supplies, Russell + Hazel, to create a most perfect wedding binder system. The binder retails for $75.00 but the planning templates are downloadable for free.
	Hopelessly addicted to your iPhone? Yeah, there’s an app (several, in fact) for wedding planning. Among the several we tested, we liked the most expensive of the bunch ($9.99), iWedding Deluxe, for it’s reliability and features.

Finding that perfect centerpiece seems to be one of the biggest design dilemmas couples face in the wedding process. I know Mr DIYB and I agonized over ours (ok, I did most the agonizing…) before we decided to do a cupcake display on each table.

I did DIY finishing services up until a couple of years ago and was bummed that there weren’t others out there to fill the void when I had to stop. When Miriam from LimoncelloSTYLE contacted me about her rescue services, I did a little happy dance.
