Introducing DIY Bride Vignettes

diybride_rosebuffettable

We get it; sometimes a diy project can be a bit abstract on its own. You find a card/favor/whatever that looks great but you can’t quite put it into the big picture of your day.  Time and again we hear from you guys that you’d like more projects and more inspiration but you want help on how to incorporate the ideas.

Our remedy is to present monthly vignettes, small groups of projects that bring together a central idea or theme – like what you’d see in a magazine photo shoot – but we keep it real. The DIY Bride version provides you with instructions and resources (how long it’ll take, how much it’ll cost, where to buy products) for each project.

Our first vignette, set to post on May 01, is a rose-themed bridal shower buffet (also perfect for upcoming Mother’s Day). Sneak a peek:

DIY Bride Book Giveaway #4

If you’re following along with recent posts, you’ll know I’m moving this month. To lighten my load, I’m giving away 2 more copies of my book The DIY Bride: 40 Fun Projects For Your Ultimate One-of-a-Kind Wedding.

Just leave a comment in response to this post between now and Sunday, 4/13. I’ll pick 2 random winners on Monday 4/14. **I ask that only brides-to-be (and grooms, too) enter the contest, please. Since they’re the ones in the most need of the info & inspiration in the book, I strongly feel they’re the ones who should have the opportunity to win a copy. Thanks for your understanding!** Good luck!

Book Sneak Peek #2

No wedding-related book would be complete without a time line. For DIY couples, scheduling is tremendously important because most will vastly underestimate the time needed to plan and make their projects. A peek at the DIY Bride’s Proper Project Planning sheets is after the jump.
