Though it was just announced, you may have missed your chance to buy the tiara Madonna wore at her own wedding.

Mrs. Ritchie donated her tiara to raise money for Katrina relief and the Kazanijan Foundation who provide education and opportunity to underprivileged youth through the sale of donated jewelry. The tiara was to be auctioned on eBay. At this writing, the auction page states bidding has ended for this item though there are no bidders. (Bids start at US $225,000).

Well, lovebirds, those of you thinking about migrating over to Vegas for a quicky wee-hours-of-the morning ceremony are out of luck if you don’t plan ahead.

Beginning Wednesday, August 30, there will be no 24-hour marriage license service at the Clark County offices (the only place to get a license). They’re cutting back the 24-hour service to cut costs. Licenses will be issued only from 8 a.m. - midnight daily.

You can still have a ceremony after midnight — if you already have a license.

For more info contact the Clark County Clerk’s office.

Because, deep down, you really care…

Oh la la, mes amies there’s been much movement on the celebrity wedding front.

The latest scoop is that Madonna and Mr. Madonna (Guy Ritchie, in case you forgot) are set to renew their wedding vows once Madge’s current tour is over. Awww. (scooped by FemaleFirst )

Pam Anderson + Kid Rock got hitched in San Tropez last week aboard a beautiful yacht. It was a grand affair. The bride wore a mini dress and brand new Botox; the groom, jeans and a t-shirt (presumably without stains). Weddings are klassy gigs, y’all. Oh, yeah, they had a second ceremony a few days later in Detroit to make it all legal. (image Anorak )

“Rocker” Avril Levigne and Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley were married in mid-July. I have nothing really snarky to say here. They make a cute couple. (scooped by Canada.com)

The paparazzi are stalking Tom Cruise and Kate Holmes as their wedding day approaches. No official date as been released but Tom was quoted as saying they’re having a late-Summer wedding. It’s now August, so…. where’s my invite? The rumour mill is the fete will happen at either John Travolta’s home or the Montecito, CA, estate of The Oprah. May they have a lifetime of happiness.

Who do you think will be the next celebrity couple to tie the knot?

There’s a new magazine on the stands for crafters called Adorn. Why am I the seemingly the last to know about it?

I picked up the premiere issue recently and, well, it was love at first sight. Geared towards a young, hip crowd, the crafts are diverse and colorful. Instructions for featured projects are well-written and easy to follow. While there weren’t any wedding-specific crafts in this issue, I hope future issues (hint, hint Adorn) will feature some crafty wedding lovelies.

So, check it out and be sure to support this fledgling magazine just for us.

Your dilemma: You have a long list of beloved friends and family whom you want to invite to your wedding but your limited budget and limited space prevent you from inviting everyone you’d love to share your day with.

The solution: Webcast your wedding.

A new phenonmena in the wedding industry is the advent of the wedding webcast; an online broadcast of wedding. Couples may elect to have their weddings shown online - in real time - so that guests who are unable to attend in person can share the experience. It’s a neat idea, especially since the same footage can be burned to DVD. You can get multiple products from a single service, making the price ($300 - $700) more justifiable if you’re going to have a videographer anyway. The best part, however, is that your far away loved ones don’t have to miss a minute of your beautiful ceremony.

Where to get the service:
