Given the current economic happenings in the US, I wanted to revisit some of the budget-related posts I’ve done over the last few years.

The recession article is one of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever read about wedding planning whether we’re in a recession or not. Kudos!

Thank you for sharing–perfect timing. I was wondering if I was the only bride concerned about the bottom line as I begin to plan.

With the state of the economy, elaborate weddings are a thing of the past. No longer are couples willing to pay thier life savings, or the life savings of thier family members to impress thier friends and relatives with an enormous wedding and/or reception. Couples are looking to economize, and many have chosen beach style weddings.

Beach weddings are simple, they are elegant, and yet very affordable. There is nothing more romantic then hearing they were married on the beach at sunset, and doves were released. It almost brings a pitter patter to your heart.

Since the downturn of the economy more and more couples are choosing to start thier life debt free, and shoe free too! Our weddings are barefoot celebrations of love!
