Hey, look at me being all trendy – we’re doing navy, chartreuse, and white as well! Our ceremony and reception will take place at a Louisiana plantation, and we thought the contrast would be striking.

Our colors are navy blue & hot pink. My fiance (and his brothers, father, uncle & grandfather) went to the Naval Academy so the navy is a tribute to his family. Our reception is at my parents’ house and my mom’s numerous flower beds are full of pink flowers so I wanted to make sure that their existing landscape matched our colors. I also wanted her to be able to take advantage of the wedding as an excuse to buy more of her favorite flowers!

We have a monogram theme that we’re tying into everything from the invitations, maps & postage to the parking signs, OOT bags, escort cards & favors. I’m looking forward to seeing everything tied together on the big day.

We are doing a mix of greens, blues and some purple. I haven’t been to picky about the shades, but trying to keep the look and feel of the decor natural and practical. Blue is our favorite color, so it had to be incorporated! I am now making my centerpieces with grapevine wreaths and placing vellum wrapped candles in the middle, to avoid using/buying too many flowers. I would love to see more DIY projects, particularly labels and templates with these colors. They seem hard to find, but I might not be looking in the right places.

I have a new inspiration board, but these are some of the latest to give you an idea:

My wedding will be Aqua with Red accents, the theme is love birds with a vintage yet modern twist. I’m using feathers to keep with the bird theme and lace and candelabras to keep with the touches of vintage. I’ve got until 5/1/2010 so plenty of time for all my diy projects…like feathered candelabras, birdcage centerpieces with candles, lace place cards, red ceramic birds for the cake topper…more to come!

a yellow balloon holds incredible sentimental value to my partner and me (long but awesome story.) so we decided “yellow balloons” would be our theme, with yellow (obviously) as our color. we have some basic ideas, but would LOVE any craft projects or inspiration around featuring them.

i’ve actually seen some pretty hot debate around balloons as decorations at weddings on some other wedding blogs, and would love to get your take on it.

i am a regular reader of your blog + thoroughly enjoy it. thanks!

Our colors are light and breezy to contrast with the dark greens that will surround the ceremony, which is set to take place in a small wooded area.

I hope to use the accent colours for the bridesmaid dresses (different colour for each ‘maid)

We’re doing teal blue and sunflower yellow for our March wedding in Arizona. The ceremony will be in a Japanese Garden (my parents got married in a Japanese Garden!) next to the koi pond, so it’s predominantly green foliage with gray rocks and branches. I think it will be a nice pop of color on the mostly monochromatic setting.

Our reception will most likely be in my parents’ backyard, and the house is a 1936 historic home that’s painted pale yellow. We’d like to include a lot of Southwest cooking on the menu for our mostly OOT guest list. I haven’t quite yet figured out how to connect the Japanese Garden with Southwest cuisine… We’ll see!

We’re doing a Medieval Romance theme with the colors of Crimson, Scarlet, and Burgundy with dark Chocolate accents. Our venue is a reproduction castle and any bright colors would look out of place. The date is set for the middle of winter in Northern Utah and we want it to feel warm with rich colors since it’ll most likely be less than 20* outside and snowing. Not to mention the fact that red is both my and my FH’s favorite color of all time.

barn brown, burlap beige, wedding white, then…

purples, reds, oranges, yellows, and bright green!

Just wanted to keep the flower colors open so we can get them from the farmers market and not have to special order them… that, and we loooove colors!

I must be weird. No blues at our wedding. Dark brown, bright orange and a touch of yellow. Does this make me silly?

Our colors are stone (a gray/brown color) and Magenta. The girls dresses are the Stone color from Watters and they will be carrying magenta flowers. This is how we came up with our color scheme. We are having an early November wedding and I think these colors are appropriate, without having the fall theme, which we didn’t want.

We’re doing a destination wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico. We’re going for the fresh and breezy beach theme. Our colours will be light sky blue, white and a natural sand/beachwood beige. Bridesmaids will be in light sky blue linen sundresses, lots of white seashells and sanddollars, sand with blue seaglass in glass vases with white voltile candles, barefoot ceremony on the beach with a natural beachwood arch with white linen accents and chair covers, groomsmen in beige suits with white linen shirts.

We’re having a spring wedding done in “sorbet” colors; soft yellow, pastel pink and a peachy cantaloupe. We are having a traditional church ceremony followed by a pavilion, campground type reception decorated with string lights, pomander ball type topiaries for centerpieces and hanging paper lanterns… I am a huge DIYer and I hope to do most of this as cost effectively as possible! :)

We’re doing lavender with apple red accents. Some white and grey will be there to pull the look together. It’s hard to pinpoint a theme, except to say that it’s “us”: a little vintage, a little rock & roll, a little rustic, and a whole lot of whimsy!

I’m doing ivory and lapis (a very dark purple) with touches of lime green. The majority of the decorations are ivory (the paper lanterns, lights, candles, most of the flowers, tablecloths, tent, etc) but the bridesmaid dresses are the lapis, as are some flowers and other decorations, with touches of the lime coming from orchids and other greenery….going for a bohemian/trendy garden wedding set on an August evening…can’t wait!

We’re in Morgantown, WV but because I’m an English teacher I’m really inspired by literature and my theme is inspired from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Lots of deep, enchanting jewel tones like dark blues and purples with some deep green and silver. I want it to be ethereal but not over the top! I’m still working out the details in my head but I can’t wait to see how it all works out!

For our wedding next year, even though we are still determining a location, we are certain that the theme will be eco chic. I am thinking colors of greens and pale blues, basically the color of trees and seaglass, with whites as well. I plan to use an assortment of collected found glass jars, and use branches and a general tree motif. I want to have a subtle “enchanted forest” feel… we are getting married in washington state so the trees are perfect! I can’t wait!

Our wedding is going to be lavender and chocolate with an overall style that my mom has started describing as “Shabby Chic meets Pride & Prejudice.” We’ll be using picnic tables that I’m going to make slipcovers for, and using mis-matched flatware and white dishes. Lots of lace, lavender hydrangeas, and chocolate-colored ribbons.
