I just came across your site and cannot believe how helpful it is already! My groom and I are planning our wedding all by ourselves which means we’re saving money while planning. I looked at our nearby store and don’t see your book so I’d LOVEE LOVVVVEEE to be one of the very very luck brides to get a copy of this. Everyone around me says, “Don’t go broke to have a wedding!” I am creative, but I’m also deathly afraid of screwing things up! HELP! I don’t want to do Vegas or City Hall! Hi. I am a DIY by nature in most facets in my life. And a librarian marrying a professor of library and information science who has surprisingly not consulted a single alt wedding how-to book. Thank you for your generosity to those of us brides-to-be! I have been very surprised at the negativity and discouragement that has been shot my way when I talk about doing certain things myself (or having my friends help me). Things like “You’ll NEVER have time for that” or “Your wedding has to cost at LEAST $XX,XXX.”
