We here at DIY Bride just adore Minted. Why do we love them so, considering they do not exactly fall under the DIY umbrella? It’s pretty simple – Minted offers a wide selection of customizable wedding invitations and stationery, and offers a wide range of prices, so there’s something for just about every couple. And now, you can add letterpress to the mix!
There are some things that you just can’t DIY, and for most people, letterpress wedding invitations fall under that woeful category. So when we heard Minted has a new letterpress line, we started doing virtual cartwheels! Wheee! Check out the pretty:
From top to bottom: Vintage Blush; A More Perfect Union; Soiree
Minted uses vintage Heidelberg Windmill presses to create their new letterpress wedding collection, which includes 29 designs, 25 font options, 2 paper types, and up to 3 color printing, which means customizing your unique letterpress invitation is a breeze!
Of course, Minted still offers the flat print stationery we all know and love. Here’s what we are crushing on lately:
From top to bottom: Wood Type Poster; Just Lovely; Wed In Type; Hand Delivered
What else has Minted been up to lately, you ask? Well, they completely revamped their wedding customer service and design experience! Now introducing The Minted Perfection Team, which includes a team of customer service agents and your very own designer assigned to your wedding invitation order. Also be sure to check out the Perfection Live Studio, a new screen sharing tool where you can work one-on-one with your designer to review and make changes to your design in real time. That is COOL.

{Sponsored Post} Get What You Want with SimpleRegistry
Sponsored Content Disclosure
How do you picture your life AFTER the wedding? Are you and your partner adventurous? Do you want to take up a new hobby? Perhaps you both enjoy fine dinners and wine tasting? Or maybe you enjoy all three, and more! With our newest partner SimpleRegistry, you can ask for gifts that you will actually use or life experiences you can both enjoy together or pretty much anything you can dream of!
Registering for wedding gifts can be a difficult process. First, you and your partner need to decide on what you want out of your registry (do you want stuff? Do you want honeymoon funds? Do you want to donate to charity?) Then, if you want stuff, you have to agree on what stores and items. Then somehow you have to get the word out to your guests without seeming tacky (“HEY! GIVE US ALL THE THINGS!”). SimpleRegistry takes some of the difficulties and stress out of planning your registry by giving your wedding guests one convenient online location where they can browse your wishlist, send you cash, or even make gift suggestions. Click here to read real reviews from SimpleRegistry members with additional suggestions and ideas on how to benefit from using SimpleRegistry.
With SimpleRegistry, you basically can ask for anything on your wishlist – physical items, honeymoon funds, charity donations – and after your wedding you’ll get the funds sent directly to you via check or direct deposit whenever you’re ready. We love that SimpleRegistry also has a mobile app with a bar code scanner, which means when you’re out and about you can simply scan a bar code to add any item to your registry. Don’t know where to start with your registry? You can load up your registry with pre-picked popular items, or you can easily ask your friends to suggest their favorite appliances and experiences. (Editor’s tip – Ask for a Keurig machine, you won’t regret it!)
*Add Anything to a Registry — Any item from any store on one registry. Even non-tangible stuff like season tickets, cooking classes, a hot air balloon ride, or a donation to a favorite charity. Literally *anything* that can be thought up can be added to a registry.
*Split Pricey Items to Smaller Portions — Let’s face it, there probably aren’t many people that will buy someone that awesome $2,000 camera or dining room table all on their own. However, maybe 20 guests would be willing to chip in $100 each. It’s easy to allow for group-gifting at any price level.
*Setup is Easy (and Fun) — Customizing a registry is easy with purpose-built tools like the SimpleAdder (bookmarklet for adding any item from any website with one-click), free Mobile App (scan barcodes or snap a photo of anything and add it to the registry), and Instant Registry for those in a hurry (pre-made lists of professionally curated items). You also get your own custom URL (www.simpleregistry.com/CUSTOM) to help your guests easily remember how to find your registry.
*Let Others Suggest Cool Items — Why should couples have to think up everything they’ll need on a registry? Registry creation is crowdsourced with our new Item Suggestions feature. Easily send people (with the best taste) a custom version of our SimpleAdder tool that allows them to suggest items from any website in the world. Couples have complete power over which suggested items to add – and which to ignore.
When your guests are ready to shop for you, they simply choose an item and pay with their credit card or through PayPal.
Click here to view examples of real member registries!
*All Gifts Redeemed as Cash — When the wedding is over all gifts are redeemed directly as cash for the ultimate in flexibility. Newer model of that camera since the registry was created? Different color of that blender desired? No problem! Just tell SimpleRegistry when you’re ready to receive your gifts and they send you a check or deposit funds directly to your checking or PayPal account. (There is a 5% fee that you can either pay from the gift amount, or have added to your guests total when they check out.)
AND, when you’re ready to send your Thank Yous, you can instantly generate a list of all guests, the gift(s) they provided, amounts, and their full contact information. Easy breezy.

Alex + AJ’s Vintage Romance Wedding
This dreamy wedding just makes me feel all warm and soft inside! Alex and AJ wanted a wedding that reflected their personalities and their love of finding treasures at flea markets. Their wedding was a nice mix of romance, vintage, and eclectic touches, like the amazing lamp on their sweetheart table and their silverware chandelier!
From the bride: “On my wedding day, I felt like the most special girl on earth. Every detail was just as I envisioned. The love AJ and I have for visiting Texas flea markets was the inspiration for the entire day. We love to find old, worn out items to repurpose in our home. We knew we wanted our family and friends to feel like they were not just invited to our wedding, but to our home and hearts. My love for vintage pieces and frilly touches was present in every detail, but none of this would have been possible without the help and inspiration of my mother. She made so many of the fantastic DIY touches, like the burlap roses for every chair, muslin garland, vintage bunting and even the “Here Comes the Bride” banner my flowers girls held down the aisle at the ceremony. All of these things made every detail that much more special to me on my wedding day.
“My absolute favorite part was the old, chippy porch built to house the wedding cakes. It really brought the backyard feel in. It even had a chandelier of old silverware. Our talented and amazing Event Designer made it all happen with her use of vintage finds and funky junk style.”
“My advice for future brides would be to do what you love. A wedding has no rules, make it about you and your groom! Your wedding day should reflect your personal style, so go with your heart and make it your own.”
Great advice, Alex!
Congrats Alex and AJ!

Jennie + Aaron’s Italian Garden Wedding
Valentine’s week continues with this romantic wedding that looks like it took place in the middle of a garden in the Italian Countryside. Except that it actually took place at the bride’s aunt’s backyard in California. Whoaaaaa. This is unlike any backyard I have ever seen!
The bride’s aunt also helped make all the table signs, named for different cities in Italy, a place near and dear to this couple.
Parasols were provided for the guests to shield them from the harsh summer sun. The bridesmaids look amazing in their pinkish-coral gowns, and of course the flower girl is adorable!
Romantic details were everywhere – from the heart shaped floral wreath to the elegant invitations (also designed by the bride’s aunt) to the delicate roses in vintage silver containers.
They even served gelato and biscotti to keep with the Italian theme!
Congrats Jennie and Aaron!

Tricia + Will’s Vibrant Beach Wedding
Welcome to Valentine’s Week here on DIY Bride! We saved some of the prettiest, most romantic weddings for this special occasion. This week you’ll find lots of hearts, pretty florals, pink, red and, of course, plenty of DIY.
We are kicking things off with high school sweethearts Tricia and Will’s bright pink destination wedding in Florida. Even though they live in Ohio, they wanted to celebrate their wedding with a fun weekend surrounded by friends and family at one of their favorite vacation spots, Captiva Island.
The bride made a lot of the wedding details herself – including the fan programs, star fish place cards, “Love is Sweet” sign, and decorated the boxes for the cupcake favors.
During the reception, the couple and photographer Tonya Malay were able to sneak away and take some pictures against the beautiful sunset. So romantic!
Congrats Tricia and Will!
