2013 Postage Rate Increases

For all of you sending out save-the-dates and invitations this year: heads up! The US Postal Service has raised rates for most mail classes as of January 27.

Here’s what to expect for First Class Mail:

  • Letters (1oz.) — 1-cent increase to 46 cents
  • Letters additional ounces — unchanged at 20 cents
  • Letters to all international destinations (1oz.) — $1.10
  • Postcards — 1-cent increase to 33 cents
  • First Class Int’l Letters (Mexico & Canada, 1 oz) — increased from $0.85 to $1.10
  • First Class Int’l Letters (Other Countries, 1 oz.) — increased from $1.05 to $1.10

If any of you are planning on sending packages via Priority or Express Mail, check those rates! Some of the increases are pretty hefty.
