Heads up if you’re thinking of renewing your vows!  Ripley’s Believe It or Not! is hosting a HUGE and FREE vow renewal that will be happening on February 10th,2013.

“Last year, nearly 700 couples from seven countries around the world re-joined each other in holy matrimony in a multilingual wedding vow renewal ceremony.”

On Sunday, February 10, an attempt for the Guinness World Record’s largest wedding vow renewal ceremony by Ripley’s Believe it or Not! St. Augustine will take place.  Currently, the University of Miami holds the record with 1,087 couples renewing their vows.

A free carnation, biodegradable confetti to throw and wedding cake are provided for every couple.  Following the renewal, couples can take a complimentary train ride down the picturesque bay front.  The ceremony will be multilingual (Spanish, English and sign language) and a free honeymoon package will be won by one lucky couple!

This event is free of charge, registration begins at Ripley’s at 11:00 am, 19 San Marco Ave, with the ceremony beginning at 2:00 pm.  A photo ID and a photo copy of the the couple’s original wedding certificate must be brought with in order to take part in the event.  Those wishing to participate will need to park in the parking garage or lots nearby as Ripley’s St. Augustine parking lot will be closed for the event.
