Guys – let’s talk about your groomsmen. These are the guys that know you best and would do anything for you. They’ve stepped up to be in your wedding (despite how much they probably hate weddings), and that alone deserves a thank you. But don’t stop there, because these guys have also shelled out money to be in your wedding and they’ve rearranged their schedules to attend all the pre-requisite wedding events like the coed wedding shower, bachelor party, and rehearsal dinner (hopefully without complaining!). If these guys are truly your best, they’ll also be there celebrating future events like housewarming parties, baby showers, anniversaries, and more.
Presenting a gift to your grooms is show of gratitude, and groomsmen gifts can be especially challenging to DIY.
We recently discovered a plethora of groomsmen gifts that can be personalized at mygroomsmengifts.com. I searched for the most unique gift idea, and it had to be something a man would actually use more than once. I found that the most popular groomsmen gifts are engraved flasks or custom ties, hankies, or socks (to wear at the wedding). Now, don’t get me wrong, these gifts are really great ideas, but my husband has an engraved flask from a wedding he was in and it sits in the back of our cupboard, practically forgotten. Come to think of it, I think he may have lost it (that’s how forgotten it is, unfortunately). Does this sound familiar?
The coolest groomsmen gift I found was a man apron, personalized for each groom, and complete with a bottle opener and bottle holder – perfect for at-home grilling (which, by the way, the ladies love a man who cooks!) or tailgating.
These aprons are heavy duty and one-of-a-kind. They come in red, black, or camo.
To really see the quality for myself, I ordered the camo apron for my hubby. Here he is, truly enjoying the impromptu photo shoot.
In addition to this personalized grilling apron, I particularly like the grilling tool set and the keg–a-que.
Each item can be personalized with initials or a name. All of these items are affordable, so you could give your dudes the apron and tools together, and maybe even opt for the keg grill, too. I would consider up to $100 for a groomsmen gift as reasonable.

Including a cookbook is a neat idea as well. I recommend The Ultimate Tailgater’s Cookbook, which you can find through Amazon:
If you are big into sports, and so are you guys, here’s a cool DIY trick.
Order the black apron without personalization, then iron on each guys favorite sports team logo. I recommend the Avery Dark T-shirt Transfer product, which you can find at Office Depot (linked below). You simply print out the team logo (or any custom graphic) at home, and iron it on to the apron. Easy!
Also, you could pick up a matching fleece blanket (perfect for tail gaiting!) with the same sports logo on it, and use that to wrap up the gift. Start by folding the blanket in half, and place the gift in the middle. Tie up opposite corners, and pull as tight as possible to secure. You’re done. We’re big Ohio State fans around here (I’m an alumni! Go Bucks!), so I used an Ohio State fleece blanket to wrap up the apron and cookbook. Here’s how it looks.
After all, guys don’t care about pretty gift wrap and bows like girls do. Am I right?
What do you think, guys? Is this something you’d like to receive? If so, your buddies will like it, too.
