I am grateful for my fiancee. She does so much around the house and I’m so thankful for that. I work a lot and if she didn’t do all that, I don’t know how it would get done.

I am grateful that for the first time in 10 years (that’s what moving across the country does to you!), my family will all come together to celebrate Thanksgiving. Since I just got engaged on November 7th (yay!), Jason and I are waiting to tell our families in person this week. I am very thankful that I get to celebrate with all of our loved ones and get to see their faces as we share the news

I am grateful that for the first time in 10 years (that’s what moving across the country does to you!), my family will all come together to celebrate Thanksgiving. Since I just got engaged on November 7th (yay!), Jason and I are waiting to tell our families in person this week. I am extremely grateful for my parents and my fiancee. I have recently undergone some health problems and both my parents and my fiancee have been a tremendous support. Including taking care of my four parrots, chinchilla and dog while I was in the hospital. They’re even supporting me in a diet change that is extremely difficult for me. I was vegan and now I have to change that to stay healthy. Now I have 9 months to plan a wedding for some where around 200-250+ guests with a budget 1/4 the average. I have been blessed with a lot of friends and family who are willing to get their hands dirty to help. I just need the projects to get them started on.

I’m grateful not only for the family I was born into, but the family I choose to have (and my 2 puppies). There have been some tough times in my family with my parents separating and my brother leaving for Air Force boot camp that I wouldn’t have made it without those people I have chosen to have in my life. Every day, the wind whips around my hair and the sun shines on my face. I’m thankful to be experiencing the beauty that’s around me, and especially to experience it with my fiance. Some friends of friends were in a terrible 4-wheeling accident on Sunday and had to be life-flighted. I am thankful that their prognosis is relatively positive. It’s been a hard year for my family, with my grandma being sick and my brother going to jail. I’m just thankful that everyone is still safe and living. I’m thankful for my fiance, who is amazing everyday and supports me thoroughly through this wedding planning. He even supports all of my DIY projects and helps out regularly!

I am thankful for the resources to provide a nice thanksgiving meal for my whole family and to be hosting my first Thanksging with my fiance while also celebrating my last Thanksgiving as a single gal! So much to by happy about!

I have to say, the thing I am most grateful for is my fiance, Andy, coming home safe from Iraq. He won’t make it in time for Thanksgiving but we will definitely celebrate it when he gets home by having our own Thanksgiving dinner some time in December. I’m thankful that I get to celebrate it with him even if it isn’t on the right day.

I’m also thankful that the holiday season gives you a reason to put on a few pounds. Nobody thinks twice about commenting on a little weight gain because they have too! How can you not with delicious food and treats surrounding you for 3 months?!

I am grateful for my future mother in law. She is the most kind, courageous, generous and loving person I know. I am thankful that she was placed in my life and that she is always there for me.

I’m blessed with having my best friend as my fiance’ and the love and support of my wonderful family and friends. Unlike many women, I did not plan my “dream wedding” when I was a child nor did I think I would ever find The One. My fiance’ took me totally by surprise with his out-of-the-blue proposal, so I’ve had to take a crash course in wedding planning!
