Know Your Flowers: Yellow Crespedia

Know Your Flowers is a weekly feature that showcases a fab flower or plant and beautiful ways it can be incorporated into your wedding.

Yellow Crespedia

This week’s delightful pick is a flower that’s recently become a real favorite of mine, the yellow crespedia. Modern but playful these mustard-y yellow spherical beauts add a bit of drama and a bright touch of color to arrangements.

The credpedia, also known as billy buttons, is available in all seasons and runs about $1.50/stem retail.

Great examples of use:

I LOVE The bouquet with the succulents! Perfect for someone who wants to go more funky and natural than a big flower bouquet. I’m obsessed.

We are a DIY flower shop called The Flowerman located in southern/central Ohio and we love Billy Balls! :) We have a few photo to add to your post if you’d like… it is on this page http://flowermanblog.com/about/combination-wedding/

about half-way down. The groom’s boutonniere and all of the groomsmen bouts were DIY-made and constructed of craspedia. Unfortunately, I only have the one picture of the groom’s bout… but it is a very cute picture. :) We have hundreds of photos here as well… http://www.facebook.com/flowermanweddings … and many of the arrangements and bouquets are DIY-made by our brides. You are welcome to use them in your posts as long as credit is given. They might be helpful for your DIY posts?!? :)

I love your blog, by the way. It is very inspiring. :)
