Our ceremony will be at the church (connected with the school where I teach) and the reception will be at the local Legion hall.
Our ceremony and reception are going to be at an old 1880s ranch, owned by an old oil tycoon, that has since been turned over to the city. It’s now a public park, but his old home is still in tact, as well as the rose gardens and beautiful orange grove out in the back (and we’ll be getting hitched in the middle of citrus season)! I’m pumped about it!
We’re having full mass at our Church but we’re having our reception at a small local winery. The area is in the barrel room itself, so our guest will be surrounded by the aging wine barrels themselves! It’s dimly lit and very romantic
We’re having an garden wedding ceremony, followed by a reception at our local skating rink!
We are having our ceremony outside at a local apple orchard in early October (perfect fall leaves!) and our reception is being held in the grand ballroom of the hotel I work for. It’s always good to have connections!!
we’re getting married(ceremony + reception) at the zoo (!!!). that can be good or bad depending on your city but the Memphis Zoo has a beautiful courtyard with fountains and reflecting pools and perfect lighting for an evening ceremony.
We’re having the ceremony at a church near our house and then heading to a loft/1940s dance hall/old ad agency with perfect pitched ceilings, crumbling plaster and excellent architectural details.
We are having our local Church on the outskirts of London and then driving out to a Kent Village Hall for a Champagne Afternoon Tea.
We are using a local grange out near where my parents live. We’ll be doing everything outdoors though, not in the grange hall.
The church my fiance attends has a large campground with huge fields and they’re letting us use it – for a week! – for only a couple hundred dollars. We’ll have the ceremony in one of the fields and then put up a tent in another for the reception.
We are getting married at a park on a canal where he proposed to me. It is covered in lilies, lavender, and daisies in the summer. We are having the reception at his church.
We are having the ceremony and the reception in a local (WV) wildlife refuge. Everything is totally outdoors in the fall, with the trees and ponds as a backdrop. The pavilions are made like logcabins. Deer and ducks are very common…hope the music keeps them from getting too close!
