DIY Bride Book Giveaway #4

6Apr2008 Filed under: Opportunties

If you’re following along with recent posts, you’ll know I’m moving this month. To lighten my load, I’m giving away 2 more copies of my book The DIY Bride: 40 Fun Projects For Your Ultimate One-of-a-Kind Wedding.

Just leave a comment in response to this post between now and Sunday, 4/13. I’ll pick 2 random winners on Monday 4/14.

**I ask that only brides-to-be (and grooms, too) enter the contest, please. Since they’re the ones in the most need of the info & inspiration in the book, I strongly feel they’re the ones who should have the opportunity to win a copy. Thanks for your understanding!**

Good luck!

I just came across your site and cannot believe how helpful it is already! My groom and I are planning our wedding all by ourselves which means we’re saving money while planning. I looked at our nearby store and don’t see your book so I’d LOVEE LOVVVVEEE to be one of the very very luck brides to get a copy of this. I’m already telling my groom how many things we can take on as a DIY project. He’s interested but we’re just not sure where to bring here.

So Pretty pretty please with sugar on top pick me :-) :-)

P.S. I hope your move goes well - I know how much of a hassel moves can be as I’ve ended up moving every other year for the last six years.

Hi. I am a DIY by nature in most facets in my life. And a librarian marrying a professor of library and information science who has surprisingly not consulted a single alt wedding how-to book. Our wedding is three months away and we’ve been making lots of our own stuff and following the gut, but I am in a bit of a panic now. Good luck lightening the load and moving.

Thank you for your generosity to those of us brides-to-be! I have been very surprised at the negativity and discouragement that has been shot my way when I talk about doing certain things myself (or having my friends help me). Things like “You’ll NEVER have time for that” or “Your wedding has to cost at LEAST $XX,XXX.”
I am getting married on October and would love a copy fo your book for ideas and advice!

Hi, I am getting married soon, I am in the planning process right now. My fiance and I don’t have a lot of money right now and that is the only thing holding us back from getting married right now, so hopefully if I can do some parts of the wedding without having to buy all the stuff from wholesalers, I can get married sooner. This would definitely help! Thanks!

There’s bound to be something in that book to help me figure out what to do with the 30 clear vases I just picked up at Wal-Mart for $1.20…. **pick me, please**

I’m getting married next June (on a budget) and would love more ideas on how to cut down on expenses. I’ve already planned out many ways to save and our wedding as green as possible. I’m a graphic designer and will have tons of time on my hands for DIY projects (my fiance is a Marine). Much love, thanks!

My fiance and I are planning our wedding on the income of two civil servants (translation…..no money for a wedding). I love DIY anyway. It makes everything so much more personal and important. Our wedding is 8-8-08 and we just got engaged (took us FOREVER to afford rings) hehehe. Thanks for the consideration! Good luck with your move! (and as a professional…PLEASE lift with your knees! ;) )
