Published by DIY Bride at 3:13 pm under Crafter\'s Toolbox

Oh, happy day! For any of you wanting to create your own wedding maps to include in your STDs or invites, there’s a new service that let’s you create custom maps online. For free*. Isn’t that the coolest?! Check out WeddingMapper.Com for the details and to try it out for yourselves.

*There is a slight catch. The free version of the map is supported with ads. You can pay $9.95 for an ad-free map that also gives you more options. ($10 for a custom map is nothin’!)

This is awesome!!! I just happen to have Avery Postcard paper in my office. I went to Avery’s website to put it on the right template and I’m printing it now!!!

Just beware of the program, I was going to use it, but the map it supplies is totally wrong for the area of my wedding

Also…these don’t really look that great. Maybe a little cartoony for my invitations. I saw some other great companies that make more professional looking maps http://www.snappymap.com/ or http://www.idoweddingmaps.com/

The latter seems a bit more reasonable price wise.

Yeah although free, they don’t have the sophistication that you would hope. I used http://idoweddingmaps.com/ and was so impressed with the finished product. Styled markers for the church and reception site looked really elegant. So cheap too.
