Heads Up: Postal Rate Increase
The USPS is increasing postage rates effective May 14, 2007. (Not 2008 as I had earlier typed.) If you have invites or STDs that need to go out before the change, get thee to a post office straight away.
1st Class mail will increase to $0.41 for the first ounce. In an odd move by the USPS, the price for each additional ounce is actually deceasing. Each overage will cost just 17 cents, down from the current 24 cents. That’s good news for those of you sending pocketfolds and other hefty invite packages.
